FamilyCore is seeking a Supervisor for our Outreach department in Peoria, IL.  In this position you would provide supervision, coordination and leadership to staff and be responsible for the program development of Respite, Family School Liaison and TARGET (Trauma Affect Regulation:  Guide for Education and Therapy) programs.  Responsible to render direct supervision and consultation to staff.  Responsible to assist in liaison with related community agencies and groups; participate in community education and planning; staff development, training and management of the personnel assigned. Participate in the agency's program planning and development. Oversee and remediate deficiencies associated with each contracted service. Maintain appropriate statistical and other data to help evaluate changing community and agency needs and priorities.  Responsible to develop and maintain a high level of social work practices to ensure maximum benefit to clients and the community. Meet with principal and core teachers on a regular basis to evaluate referrals and share student information.  Conduct asset based assessments on student and family needs. Work with students individually and in a group setting.  Identify, locate and refer students and parents to appropriate supportive services. Develop working relationship with administration at school FamilyCore staff is located in.  Maintain active and on-going follow-up with students referred for supportive services in the community.  Establish support groups on an as needed basis.  Develop and maintain an active support system for parents.  Provide in-service training opportunities for school personnel regarding mental health issues and issues current to students and families.  Assist in the development and implementation of prevention programs.  Coordinate community based prevention and intervention programs provided within the school by outside providers.  Maintain accurate and confidential records of students receiving services.  Assist when needed in support of teachers and office staff. Prepare for site visits from funding sources. Conduct home-visits with parents.

The position requires the following requires: 

Bachelor's Degree in Social work or graduate degree in related field from an accredited school. 

A minimum of 4 years paid experience appropriate to the function and level of this position is preferred. Supervisory and coordination skills or experience are essential, with the capacity to assume leadership and delegate administrative responsibilities.

Ability to forge mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families in which they are helped to gain the skills and confidence to address any issues and problems they face; conviction about people to grow and change; ability to work in partnership with other team members; ability to set limits and maintain helping role of the practitioner and to intervene appropriately to meet needs of person served or other family members; and ability to be sensitive and understanding of minorities cultural and lifestyle differences.
