Child Welfare Internship

FamilyCore is seeking a Child Welfare Intern who will assist an experienced team to support the many services provided by this non-profit, nationally accredited social service agency with over 120 years of service. The Intern will utilize and develop their skillset to assist in various operations and activities of the Child Welfare Department. The Intern will have the opportunity to gain experience in the nonprofit industry by working collaboratively assisting in documentation, filing, attending appointments, attending court hearings, assisting in program projects, and gaining knowledge of the Child Welfare Sector. Opportunities for special projects may also be a part of the experience.

We are pursuing both graduate and undergraduate students with degree area in social work, psychology, non-profit leadership, or other related fields. Excellent work ethic and reliability with a desire to learn new skills and work on a variety of projects. Available as a full-time or part-time internship (minimum of 20 hours). Interns must have a valid Driver's License and are subject to a background check prior to working at FamilyCore. Expectation of in office work at downtown Peoria location (not a fully remote position).
