FamilyCore employs over 80 individuals in a tight-knit work community that work with schools, the court system and other social service agencies to connect counseling, intervention, preventative education and other support services with those who have a need. FamilyCore takes a holistic approach in its continuum of care, often providing boosts of support to multiple generations. The end goal is to maintain the integrity of family, however it may be defined.

FamilyCore is seeking a Lead Staff for our Outreach department in Peoria, Illinois.

 In this position you would:

  • Lead, coordinate and train staff. 
  • Assist in program development for the Outreach department. 
  • Provide consultation and oversight to staff. 
  • Assist in liaison with related community agencies and groups.
  • Participate in community education and planning.
  • Training and oversight of assigned employees.
  • Participate in the agency's program planning and development.
  • Oversee and remediate deficiencies associated with each contracted service.
  • Maintain appropriate statistical and other data to help evaluate changing community and agency needs and priorities. 
  • Develop working relationship with administration at schools FamilyCore staff is located in.  
  • Assist in the development and implementation of prevention programs. 
  • Coordinate community based prevention and intervention programs provided within the school by outside providers. 
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of students receiving services. 
  • Assist when needed in support of teachers and office staff. 
  • Prepare for site visits from funding sources. 

This position requires the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 
  • Must have previous demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years paid experience appropriate to the function and level of this position is preferred. 
  • Supervisory and coordination skills or experience are essential, with the capacity to assume leadership and delegate administrative responsibilities.
  • Ability to forge mutually respectful partnerships with persons served, and their families, in which they are helped to gain the skills and confidence to address any issues and problems they face.
  • Conviction about people to grow and change.
  • Ability to work in partnership with other team members.
  • Ability to set limits and maintain helping role of the practitioner and to intervene appropriately to meet needs of person served or other family members.
  • Ability to be sensitive and understanding of minorities cultural and lifestyle differences.
