FamilyCore is a private, non-profit, nationally accredited social service agency that has served the Tri-County area since 1900. We are committed to helping individuals and families strengthen their lives through a variety of counseling, child welfare, family preservation and preventative education services. We offer the best in quality, confidentiality, and expertise.

FamilyCore employs over 80 individuals in a tight-knit work community that work with schools, the court system and other social service agencies to connect counseling, intervention, preventative education and other support services with those who have a need. FamilyCore takes a holistic approach in its continuum of care, often providing boosts of support to multiple generations. The end goal is to maintain the integrity of family, however it may be defined.

  • Position Summary: Provide supervision, coordination, and leadership for Outreach programs. Promote the culture and competencies of Leaders Grow Leaders; Leaders Get Measurable Results and Leaders Shape FamilyCore Culture. These competencies are:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular contact with staff. Assist staff with problem solving and identifying resources.
  • Ensure programs are adequately staffed.
  • Submit program and FamilyCore documentation as required.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with all internal and external clients.
  • Adhere to standards adopted through Council on Accreditation.
  • Ensure monthly and quarterly billing is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Write, present, and monitor grant activity to ensure compliance.
  • Register and maintain FamilyCore vehicles and report costs and use.
  • Participate in committees and represents FamilyCore at community events as required.
  • Promote FamilyCore services to outside agencies and the community. Collaborate with community partners under the guidance and direction of the Program Director.
  • Ability to organize and maintain data and confidential information.
  • Responsible for program planning and development.
  • Prepare for site visits as necessary.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of procedures and distribution of quality documentation that complies with the requirements of accreditation, licensing, and contracts. 
  • Promote and demonstrate commitment to FamilyCore's mission, vision and values.
  • Strong skill in the areas of fiscal, personnel, and administrative management.

Responsibilities continued:

  • Highly responsive to client and staff needs with respect to the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics.
  • Provide safe transportation of youth and parents.
  • Collaborate and contribute to team and FamilyCore quality improvement and evaluation activities.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with all internal and external customers.
  • Obtain parental permissions and develop effective working relationships with them.
  • Ensure safety protocols and policies are practiced at all times.
  • Assume responsibility for professional development and cultural competency.
  • *Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1-3 years' experience required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Competency:

  • Ability to plan, budget, and organize in a management capacity.
  • Working knowledge of grant writing and electronic reporting as required.
  • Demonstrate broad variety of management skills including, but not limited to: commitment to the mission and vision, displaying leadership, ability to hire, develop, supervise, evaluate, and discipline staff in a multi-office setting characterized by change and the need to be responsive.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Working knowledge of Social and Emotional Skills and Curriculums, School Systems and Practices, Principles of Adult Learning, and classroom management techniques, depending on assignment.
  • Working knowledge of community resources and existing barriers.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a client focus.
  • Must possess valid Illinois Driver's License in good standing and proof of valid vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to operate 7 and 15 passenger vans.
  • Must pass required background check.
  • Safe, reliable personal vehicle, to be used for FamilyCore business, including transporting clients.
  • Utilize time tracking software and all other software required to fulfill duties.
  • First Aid and CPR Certification required.
  • Must complete child passenger safety training.
  • Ability to set and maintain professional boundaries with clients.
  • Ability to be sensitive and understanding of cultural and lifestyle differences of all people regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, age, or background.
  • Utilize time tracking software and all other software required to fulfill duties.
  • Successfully complete FamilyCore training as required.

Physical:

  • Frequent sitting, walking, standing, grasping, fingering, and reaching.
  • Regular lifting, pulling and pushing up to 10 lbs.
  • Occasional stooping.
  • Operate general office equipment, including multi-line phone, fax machine, printer, copier, scanner, and personal computer, with or without dual monitors.

Work Environment:

  • Work occurs in and out of an office environment. Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
  • May be subject to noise, distraction, and interruptions. May be subject to difficult client interactions that involve behavioral and /or emotional challenges.
